Is your computer running slow? Does it seem like the response time has fallen off of late? Would you like to speed up the performance of your Mac and optimize its efficiency? Let's explore how to improve Mac Performance.
There are a number of things that you can do to increase Mac performance but you will find that the vast majority of problems are caused by clutter. Clutter can be made up of binary files, text files, improperly uninstalled apps and programs, and other unnecessary items.
How I improve Mac Performance
One of the first things that I always do when someone brings in a slow Mac is take a look at the desktop. You would be surprised at how much junk people pile on their desktop. Its not uncommon to find a desktop that is so full of icons that you can not see the wallpaper.
The first thing I do is to remove all of the unnecessary icons. Finding a file or program is so easy on a Mac that I find no need for shortcuts and icon clutter. My desktop is a clean as the day I took the computer out of the box.
As I said earlier much of the clutter on the computers that I work on is the result of clutter and since I charge by the hour removing all of the junk on a computer can get pretty expensive.
I spend time cleaning binary clutter, unused languages, old log files, clearing the system and user cache and more and all of that time the meter is running if you know what I mean.
Next I start cleaning out duplicate files and removing the leftovers from the improper removal of apps and programs. Then I find updates for all of the programs on the computer.
How Much Does Mac Performance Improvement Cost?
All of this takes time and depending on the amount of clutter on a computer the bill can be a few hundred dollars.
If only these people know that there is a utility on the market that will increase and optimize Mac performance with a few clicks of the mouse.
