How to Restore Windows 7


When our PC experiences some problems such as crashing, incorrect system settings and other severe errors we try to find out some authentic solution to restore our computer to the original settings.

You can restore Windows 7 by following the methods stated below, but before starting restore process do not forget to take back up of your data.

Methods

· Load Windows 7 in "Last Known Good Configuration"
· Use System Restore Option
· Restore Windows Registry from Harmful Changes
· Repair Windows 7

Load Windows 7 in "Last Known Good Configuration"

The simplest method to restore Windows 7 is to load Windows 7 in "Last Known Good Configuration". Follow these steps to load Windows 7 in "Last Known Good Configuration".

  1. Reboot your PC
    2. Quickly start pressing F8, for 3-5 times
    3. A menu with different options will appear on your screen, select the option Last Known Good Configuration
    4. Press Enter

    Use System Restore Option

    System restore option is automatically installed when you install Windows 7. This tool allows you to restore your PC. Follow the steps below to restore Windows 7 using system restore option:

  2. Click Start
    2. Go to All Programs / Accessories / System Tools
    3. Open Restore and click Next
    4. Choose a valid restore point
    5. Click on Restore Computer button and follow the onscreen instructions

    Restore Windows Registry from Harmful Changes

    Windows registry automatically saves all the information about the programs installed on the computer. Registry starts generating errors if it is not modified properly. Follow the steps below:

  3. Download and Install Registry Cleaner
    2. Open Registry Cleaner program
    3. Click on Registry Cleaner
    4. Click on Start Scan button
    5. After scanning is complete click on Fix Errors button
    6. On completion Restart your PC

    Repair Windows 7

    Another way to restore Windows 7 is to start Windows 7 repair. You can access this option only from Windows 7 setup and for this you must have Windows 7 boot capable disc.

  4. Insert Windows 7 boot capable disc in CD Rom
    2. Restart your PC
    3. Press Enter when "Press any key to boot from CD" option appears on screen
    4. Press Repair My Computer button to start the repairing process and it will restore Windows 7 to defaults.
