HTC One X Review: Learn Before You Buy

With HTC One X, you'll get an HD screen, a thin chassis, the best HTC processor and firm looks that spectacularly recreate the victory of their previous phone, HTC Desire.

The One X runs a quad core processor that has the largest screen found on any HTC, which makes this model a powerful and slick handset. Running on the Ice Cream Sandwich, this phone takes HTC to new heights, but it might be too much too soon for a company that has been in the market for just one decade.

Design

HTC phones are moving towards a smoother design, and One X is continuing this trend with its sleek looks. It has a big 4.7 "screen which is a stunning feature with 720 pix HD display. game freak or a movie buff, this phone is perfect for you.

It has got awesome pixel density that competes with iPhone 4S. With its features, it's a device that you have to see to believe. The remaining phone design is pretty subjective. It's a big phone which is incredibly lightweight (just 130g). Agreed that it's heavier than Samsung Galaxy S2, but you will not really feel the difference in your pocket.

Hardware

As you would expect, there is a volume rocker switch at the right side of the phone with a micro USB on the left, which can also be used to double the Mobile HD link to connect to a TV. Considering its price, this is a very sparse setting, which gives it a minimalist feel that might make many people happy. This simplistic effect is further compounded by the presence of microSIM slot, and you need an Apple-esque device if you want to open it. While the smaller SIM slot may be a slight annoyance for people who are upgrading from a full version, the lack of micro SD card is definitely going to turn off many users- especially if they like watching HD movies or playing heavy games.

Yes, the phone comes packed with 32GB storage, but it's not going to satisfy the hunger of game freaks. The presence of a micro SD slot would have been better.

On the rear of the phone, you'll find an 8MP camera that protrudes from the device, but does not ruin the looks- thanks to the curved chassis. The design of the phone is charming, but its size may be a problem for people with small hands.

All in all, HTC has hit the market with a successful phone. The HTC One X will not disappoint you in any way. Need more reviews, tips, tricks, and how-to's? Visit valcun.com, a good blog about technology .
