Free Tethered Apps by Cydia at Your Service

This world has become so competitive now, that even we feel like we are part of it. Competition not only lies with what is being sold to us, but also with what we buy. Nobody likes to spend more money on whatever we purchase. Maybe that’s the reason why there are so many sellers out there, selling something to us, but mostly free of cost. Cydia is one main seller when we talk about the technical zone. The only condition with Cydia is that you need to jailbreak your iDevice to get the same.

• Free WiFi Tethering: This can be done on iOS 8 and 8.1 with iPhone 4s/5/5s/5c/6/6 Plus. Make your iPhone a WiFi Hotspot through 3G and 4G LTE for your other devices to connect too. This is known as free of cost ‘WiFi tethering’. To get the same, use the following steps:

1. Open ‘Cydia’ on your device and tap on ‘Sources’ down at the bottom.
2. Tap on ‘Edit’ on the top right hand corner and then ‘add’ on the top left.
3. Enter the Cydia/APT URL,”repo.hackyouriphone.org”.
4. Once you have made the entry, tap on ‘Add Source’.
5. Within a few seconds you will be shown a box that says ‘Source Warning’, click on ‘Add Anyway’.
6. After a few seconds, click the button at the bottom of the page where you will see ‘Return to Cydia’.
7. Once you are back on Cydia, tap on ‘Search’ on the bottom right and type in “TetherMe for iOS8+”.
8. As you click on that, you then click on ‘Install’ on the top right and hit ‘Confirm’.

Once it is installed, it will restart ‘springboard’. You will then be able to see a new option on your settings called ‘personal hotspot’. The whole point for having this tethered WiFi is that you will be able to connect any device to the network that you created.

• PdaNet: Since tethering requires a data connection, PdaNet will only work on an iPhone which needs to be jailbroken to get started. This can be done on iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S with a cellular data package or iOS4+ installation.

1. Open the Cydia App and click on the ‘Search’ tab on the bottom of the screen.
2. Type “PdaNet” into the search box.
3. Once the page loads, select the ‘install’ button.
4. Press ‘confirm’ to start the download.
5. Click on ‘Return to Cydia’ when the installation is completed.
6. Press the ‘home’ button to close Cydia and click on PdaNet icon to open the app.
7. Click on ‘register’ at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
8. In the ‘Email’ field type in pdanet1@pdanet1.com and in the ‘serial’ type in “PDANETAPPL-CC1E-CCE6-C6E5-F33C-8E6E”.
9. Tap the ‘Submit’ button after which you will see a message for the registration being successful.
10. With ‘OK’ you can close the window to use the app.

There is no doubt that there are so many apps in this world trying to make our job easy or rather say, lead our lives easily.
