Xbox 360 Will Not Read My Game Discs – What to Do

One of the worst things that can happen to any Xbox 360 owner is having their console tell them it can not read the disc, especially just after purchasing a game they're really excited to play. That being said, if you do get that error, or rather your console does not do anything, or even tells you to "Please insert game disc", then one thing is clear, something needs to be fixed.

Most likely, this has nothing to do with anything being wrong with the DVD drive. The problem is actually the overheating of the DVD drive's receptors, which causes the DVD drive to stop working. Stop the heat from building up and you will be back to playing your games in no time.

What can you do to solve that problem?

One of your options can be sending your console back to Microsoft and have them fix it for you. The problem here for some might be the waiting time. With Microsoft, repair work can take up to a few weeks or more.

Another option can be using an Xbox 360 repair guide that shows you, step by step, how to fix the disc reading error by stopping the heat from building up. Of course, this is done right from your own home.

Whatever you decide to do, just make sure to take action. The longer you wait, the longer it will be until you can start playing your games again. I hope that this article has helped in some way and that you get your Xbox 360 fixed soon. Good luck!
