Skoda Yeti was launched in November 2010. It is currently getting very good response and demands as well. It is a powerful SUV racing with the models like Hyundai Santa Fe, Mahindra Scorpio Tata Safari, Tata Aria, Maruti Grand Vitara, Ford Endeavor, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Outlander in domestic market. It was first showcased in January 2010 at Delhi Auto Expo.
Engine- It is equipped with a robust 2.0 liter diesel engine. It has a TDI CR, 16V DOHC, 4 cylinder, Turbocharged, and liquid cooled with 6 Speed Manual Transmission. It is capable to generate utmost power of 140 Bhp at 4200 rpm and highest peak torque of 320 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm. Overall the engine is designed in such a way which can give good mileage on countryside areas and retro areas.
Exterior- it comes with smiling exterior features which can attract you easily. The face of the SUV looks aggressively with smartly designed broad head and fog lamps. The emblem of the company right at the center of the grill is cute. The black colored chrome bumper brush adds much beauty for the car. The body colored mirrors and indicators is neatly carved. The 16inch alloy wheel will make a mark on your heart. It also gives an extra look for the SUV. The ground clearance of the car is good. The suspension provides comfort even in the worst roads. It looks like crossover from the rear side. Overall it is a nice SUV.
Interior- It comes with striking interior features. It is a five-seater with 4 doors. The wide dashboard (like in Skoda Laura) with chrome package and leather seats is attractive. It is cloud 9 when it comes to comfort. It is very spacious where you will get liberty to free your legs and arms. The inbuilt audio system with 6.5 inch TFT LCD with touch screen control is excellent. It gives enough room to carry your luggage. Other features like Air condition, under luggage compartment floor, front glove box with cooling, illumination, electronically adjustable external mirrors and storage compartments in side panels is good. Overall it is a good car suits for those who love long journeys.
Safety – The SUV comes with advanced safety features like Electronic Differential Lock, ABS, Seat belts, 6 Airbags, EBD, engine immobilizer with floating code system, remote control opening and closing of windows, active front head restraints, height adjustable three-point seat belts at front and three point seat belts for rear, protective covers for engine, gearbox and undercarriage, security code for central infotainment system, remote control locking and unlocking of doors and boot lid with two foldable keys.
It has a capacity to give overall mileage of 16 kilometers per liter. The company has launched it in two versions one is 'Ambient' and the other one is 'Elegance'. The price tag of Ambient is 15.4 lakh and Elegance is 16.8 lakhs in Indian market.
