• Try to figure out if you recently did something to your computer, for instance, installed some new software or started using any hardware? The conflicts may be caused by this change and causing your Windows 7 to lock up repeatedly. You can try to revert back to the old settings.

   3. Choose a restore point and again click Next.

• A RAM test with some free RAM testing tool may also help to fix the problem. Use Windows Memory Diagnostic as below:

   2. Click the option Restart Now and Check for Problems.
   3. The RAM test will begin after restarting your computer.

• Update your drivers. Driver errors may also cause systems to freeze suddenly.

1. Click Start, type Device Manager in the Search box and press ENTER.
2. Right click a device and select Update. Do the same for all devices which you would like to update- for example graphics card, network card and sound card.
